Mark Tindall
Chief Executive Officer
Mark is the Chief Executive Officer of Tana Africa and is a member of its Investment Committee.
Previously Mark was the CFO of Coca Cola Beverages Africa, Africa’s largest Coca Cola bottler and the 8th largest in the world, with revenues of over $3bn and operations in twelve African countries.
Prior to that he worked for SABMiller for thirteen years, which included a period as Managing Director of the Spanish and Canary Islands operation as well as Director of Business Planning and Development for SABMiller’s substantial Latin American operations.
Mark also spent over four years in the company’s Corporate Finance division during a highly acquisitive phase in SABMiller’s history and prior to that worked for Goldman Sachs in M&A and Leveraged Finance in London.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Business Science in Finance from the University of Cape Town, a B.A. (Politics, Philosophy, Economics) from Oxford University where he was a Rhodes Scholar and a Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute. He is a Chartered Accountant (SA).

Pieter Cilliers
Managing Director
Pieter is a Managing Director at Tana Africa and is a member of its Investment Committee.
Prior to Tana, he was a Principal at Bain & Company in Brazil, where he led projects in the private equity, FMCG, education and healthcare sectors.
He also worked as a Vice President at Hancock Park Associates, a Los Angeles based private equity fund focused on US mid-cap buyouts.
Previously he was a Manager at Deloitte’s M&A Group in San Francisco.
Pieter holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Stellenbosch, an MBA from INSEAD, a Chartered Financial Analyst® designation from the CFA Institute, and is a certified Chartered Accountant in South Africa.

Rosy Tsotsotso
Operations and Administration Manager
Rosy is the Operations and Administration Manager at Tana Africa.
Previously, she worked in the office of the Managing Director for CNBC Africa, the global television broadcaster.
Prior to that, Rosy worked in administration for Cricket South Africa and the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism.
Rosy completed the Programme for Managers Development (PMD) from the Gordon Institute of Business Science Business School (GIBS).

Nicolas Hindi
Vice President
Nicolas is Vice President at Tana Africa.
Previously, he was an analyst in the M&A Financial Institutions Group at Deutsche Bank in London, where he was involved in major mergers, acquisitions and rights issues of banks, insurers and asset managers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Nicolas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Finance from the American University of Beirut (Lebanon).

Yannick Sanni
Vice President
Yannick is a Vice President at Tana Africa Capital.
Prior to Tana, he worked in the Investment Banking division of HSBC in London and Paris.
He serves on the Board of Directors of Sundry Markets, a leading grocery retailer in Nigeria, on the Board of Directors of SANGEL Group, a leading frozen food retailer in Francophone Africa with operations in UAE, France, Côte d’Ivoire & Gabon and on the Board of Directors of Kensington Distillers and Vintners Group, a leading beverage company with operations in Nigeria and South Africa. Yannick also serves on the Board of Directors of the Gabonese Sovereign Wealth Fund Venture Capital Fund and is a member of its investment committee.
He received a Bachelor degree in Accounting & Finance from Ecole Superieure de Gestion (France), a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from SKEMA Business School (France) and a Master degree in Finance from London Business School.
He is fluent in French, English and Hausa.

Daria Katemauswa
Chief Financial Officer
Daria is the Chief Financial Officer of Tana Africa.
Previously, she was a Senior Manager of Transaction Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she also served as a Senior Associate for Audit.
Daria holds a BCompt (Hons) from the University of South Africa and is a certified Chartered Accountant in South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Annabel Barnicke
Vice President
Annabel is a Vice President at Tana Africa.
Previously, she was an Associate in the Private Equity Group at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in Toronto, where she was involved in the evaluation and execution of investment opportunities focused on companies across the Technology and Consumer Retail space. Prior to this, she worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Barclays Investment Bank in New York, with a focus on Industrials companies.
Annabel holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Economics from Johns Hopkins University (USA).

Robert Leke
Managing Director
Robert is a Managing Director at Tana Africa.
Previously Robert was an Investment Professional in the South Africa office of TransCentury Limited, a Kenya-based investment firm, where he supported deal execution as well as the launch of new businesses in the DRC, South Africa and Tanzania.
He began his career as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Co. in the New York and Dubai offices.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Kwabena Bucknor
Vice President
Kwabena is a Vice President at Tana Africa.
Previously Kwabena was an Associate in the Corporate Finance M&A division at Standard Bank in Johannesburg.
Prior to this, he worked as an Analyst in Global Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley in New York.
Kwabena holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, International Relations and Asian Studies from Cornell University .

Arthur Engotto
Vice President
Arthur is a Vice President at Tana Africa.
Previously Arthur worked in the Investment Banking division of Rothschild & Co in Paris, where he was involved in several transactions spanning M&A, Debt and Equity advisory for major clients (large capitalisation companies and private equity funds).
Prior to this, he worked in the Audit and Transaction Services departments of KPMG in Paris and in the Investment Banking division of Oddo & Cie.
Arthur holds a Maîtrise in Accounting from Catholic University of Central Africa and a Master’s degree in Finance and Strategy from Sciences Po Paris.

Yolande Kouassi
Finance Director, Abidjan
Yolande is Chief Financial Officer of the Abidjan Office at Tana Africa.
Previously Yolande was Chief Financial Officer at Agro West Africa in Abidjan, and prior to that she was Head of Finance and Administration of IRES maritime logistics in Abidjan.
Yolande began her career as a financial auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Abidjan and holds a MSc in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting from ESC Nice

Ahmed El Soueni
Senior Associate
Ahmed is a Senior Associate at Tana Africa.
Previously Ahmed was an Investment Banking Associate at CI Capital in Egypt, where he worked on a broad range of transactions, including sell-side, buy-side, and IPO mandates.
Ahmed graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Industrial Engineering from The American University in Cairo and has passed the CFA level I exam.
